This is an older RSKT design. In-fact, I had set this knife aside for myself quite a while back. Never got around to finishing it until recently. Stout blade in a manageable package. Ground to near zero for excellent slicing, but plenty tough for ALL of your camp chores. From batoning, to food prep, this is a great all-around camp knife. Price Drop, need to get these medical bills under control.
Steel: 1095 , HT by me, quenched in Parks 50, Tempered to 59hrc
Blade: High flat ground, distal taper, 5" long and 3/16" thick at the ricasso. The choil itself is deep enough to give piece of mind that your booker hooks won't end up on the scary stuff. Hand cut jimping gives adequate thumb purchase without being uncomfortable in an ungloved hand. Hand rubbed to 800 grit, then cold-blued. Tapered tang.
Scales: Dyed (Green streaks/brown) and stabilized quarter-sawn sycamore with Orange Liners, then hand-rubbed with Boiled Linseed Oil. Copper pins . West Systems epoxy

Sheath is hand stamped and stitched 8-9oz Cowhide, dyed chocolate brown. No belt loop currently, but I can add either a standard vertical carry loop, or an ambidexterous horizontal carry loop.
