The curved lines may aid in retention, and the wider cross-section at the choil gives more precision in blade control (especially when wet or with gloved hands), but the lines are unmistakenly reminiscent of a Recurve Bow, hence the name. In it's medium rendition it makes a stout and very capable EDC. The high flat grind, to a near zero edge give it an edge (pun intended) as a slicer. The scales have been slightly distressed as RSKT customers have become quite fond of this technique, if it isn't your thing I can texture it at no extra charge.
