Browsing the exchange a few weeks ago, I stumbled upon an S30V Blur in very good shape. I have been wanting to try S30V for a long time. I have had plenty of 154CM, VG10/VG1, D2, and 1095 knives, but I have yet to try anything in S30V. The Blur was also next on my list for Kershaws. Anyways, I quickly contacted the seller, RSKT, and confirmed the payment. I made very clear though that I was leaving all week for the Boundary Waters (most beautiful place in the midwest) and that I would have no communication at all for the week. When I got back to civilization, I received some disappointing news. The seller sold all of the other knives, but when it came time to ship, he had lost mine! Normally, this would be a sign of some sort of a scam. I trusted this man's feedback, and he proved himself to Bladeforums yet again!
In the same email, he offered to substitute another variant of Blur or to drive a few hours to check another location for the knife. In later communication with him, I learned that he would be returning to that location this week anyways. I told him to wait and to not waste time over my small purchase. Today I got another email saying he had returned to find the knife, and now everything is back on track for a wonderful sale. This man did everything right in what I can only assume was a very stressful situation. There is nothing worse than losing a knife, especially when it is one that you are trying to pass on.
