RTAK dilemma

I've wondered about that one. Have you cut and/or split wood with it?

I wish I could tell ya I had split several cords of wood with my Cutlass, but I haven't had a lot of time to be out and about the last several months. I have split/chopped some with it, and it actually was a bit easier on my wrist then my RD-9, and handled well. No noticable issues like the edge rolling, nothing like that. I actually want to get a Ontario SP8 and compare the two at some point.

Sorry I don't have more ta give ya on it...

I like mine a lot. I picked up one not that long go and I've taken it out chopping a few times. It's no RTAK, but its a damn good chopper. In my opinion, the three big choppers are the RTAKII, the Becker BK9, and the Ranger RD-9, in that order.

Bought the kabar BK9 a couple of months ago and it is a great chopper. would make a passable large fleshing/butcher knife as well. The usable little utility knife it comes with is a bonus and the sheath with the pockets and lash holes is made to order for a knife/survival kit. For 92$ canadian it is a good deal for a big chunk of 3/16 1095 carbon steel.
Refusing to buy the RTAKII until RAT solves their issues or makes one.
I also like the CS trailmaster regardless of Lens Bullsh.., try to find an sk-5 made in china because the new taiwan version comes with sk-5 a shiny blade and twice the price when it's out in march.
