Rubber handle material

Hi there all

I shaw some post about knives having rubber handle, called horse stall mat
made of recycled tires, but nothing about were to find this stuf.

Do you know any place or mat stall brand name that I can try to locate in my country (France).

It's excellent material, very strong, non slippery and easy to work with. I have it on a knife made by jose diaz and did some fine tuning on the handle.

One more thing, if you find the stuff, can you update please. I'm interested in it as well, maybe we can do a joint buy and split import costs if necessary.
 
I got some Neoprene from tx knifemakers, and it was not good. for some reason the rubber is getting all hard, and loosing its rubbery feel. Anybody know what I can do to seal it from oils or whatever is making it hard
 
I'm contacting these guys (ccrubber.be) at the moment to see if they can deliver the same as on the US site mentioned.
 
try checking at a feed and tack supply store. anywhere that carries supplies for horses and farms will probably have stall mats.

i buy it at the local tractor supply for 8 or 10 bucks a 4x8 sheet.

thanks buddy, good tip. is that 4 by 8 feet?
 
they usually have them right outside the door and they are a lot cheaper than that one listed, heavy rubber. i cant get out to look on the size right now i was thinking they were 4 x 8ft but i could be wrong.

i'd go check in the shop but i got bucked off a horse and broke my pelvis in 2 places and my lower spine 3 weeks ago so i'm trapped on the couch while i heal.

CPM M4, and Horse Trailer Mat handle material. It weighs around 31 oz. (878.8 grams).
 
Hey guys,

this is during my competition training session about an hour ago (notice the sweat? lol :D)

I'm extremely happy with the cane toad in general, it's a beast of a knife, and like the handle very much because of the grip. I like the functional focus of the rubber handle and the feel/grip of the material.

Hi Jose

To make the story short, THAT's the knife I am dreaming of, it's not fair at all to torture me whith these pics (too much month/years before saving enough buck).

Hey Zyhano have you pics of yours, I like torture.
