Plenty of ups and downs on this hike, with all the rain we've had the rocks were real slick !

Early into the hike we came across this recent Cougar kill, it kinda kept us on high alert for the rest of the hike !!!

We see lots of seals but very rarely when they are out of the sea, this one seemed oblivious to us as it rested on the rocks !

I really did think about it but mrs Pit was saying ' you can't carry a deers head around with you !'. It was early into the hike and hike was a circular so it made it difficult.
Later in the hike I thought that I could have just sawn the antlers off with my SAK !:(

If you were a real survivor you'd a ate the carcass too! Maybe got your own show, lol. Looks like a good time, glad to see the mrs with you. Gettin over a cold and just passed my 1st kidney stone so I never got my bhk out this week. Got our 1st snow too.

Hope ya better soon buddy, that BHK needs some use !

Very cool. That eviscerated deer would have kept me on my toes too! My wife would have wanted to turn back after seeing that!

great stuff Pit... always love your pics... i have a bushcrafter like yours coming soon... i can't wait to check it out.. it was the one with bloodwood scales...

Great pics Pit. I, too, would have taken the rack home with me. Then again, I have a ton of antlers in my room.

You'll love it Mike, in reality it could fill my knife needs probably 98% of the time......it would just make for a boring forum if we only carried the one knife though eh !:D

Thanks for sharing the great pictures and your adventures. Nothing beats seeing someone's "neighborhood" from their perspective and not just the "Chamber of Commerce" shots. Keep 'em coming.
