Ruler error on Leatherman Charge TTi

My new Charge TTi's ruler is marked incorrectly or they used the wrong handles:
The handle with the scissors has inch marks 5, 6, and 7", as well as marks for 12-18cm. The opposite handle (with the can opener and bit holder) also has marks for 5, 6, and 7", and marks for 12-18cm.

My older Charge XTi is correct in that the can opener side has marks for 1-3" and 2-8cm, while the side with the mini screwdriver has 5-7" and 12-18cm.

Anyone else notice this on their new TTi? This is specifically the Cabela's TTI Sec3D (camo and black coated). I wonder if the non-coated TTi's are like this?

Hi there-
Juli from Leatherman… Couple solutions for you.

1. You can certainly send it back to us and we’ll exchange it out for a new one, not a problem. Just put a quick note in there to direct them to the exact problem and it will get taken care of. You’ll want to send it insured if you do it via mail, but UPS automatically insures up to $100. Here are the addresses for that:

2. This second one isn’t really an option; it’s more of an idea. Keep the tool as a one-of-a-kind. We have tools that have broken due to the user or a defective piece, but rarely, if ever, do tools leave the factory with any kind of visible flaws. Definitely one-of-a-kind.

Take care and let me know if you have any more questions.

I'm not that concerned about my particular TTi (I only use the ruler for short measurements anyway), but I presume that if this mistake was made on my TTi, which is a specially coated SEC3D(camo)/black oxide edition from Cabella's, that it likely isn't a 'one of a kind', the same mistake may have been made on an entire batch (since the handles are probably coated before assembly), and it should be checked into.

Just wondering if anyone else had noticed this on a new TTi...

:D

Not so sure about one of a kind, but it is unique. :)
