run, climb, fish, camp, repeat

Wow! That is an outstanding looking overnighter right there! I like the looks of that pack a lot - thanks for posting it all up! I need to get back up in the mountains myself. Been a few weeks now, and I miss the sound of the 'yotes (and other critters) at night dearly.
I've got those same trekking poles, and think they're great. Keep an eye on the pop out button(s) - it can get a little rusty & the string tension too - not to tight, or it'll break (I learned that the hard way).

Super, super looking trip & photos!! Thanks again for posting it up

thanks gents! willie- I'll keep an eye for the button; I do use that button to shorten my poles when climbing- neat little feature they don't tout- it doesn't lock obviously, but they seem to stay in that position pretty well

Agreed! I use them the same way. tough poles, super lightweight, and very useful/neat little feature. Shorten for climbs, and lengthen for steep downs. It makes about a 10cm difference in overall length on mine.

Awesome trip report. Way to not let the snow stop you. I have too have a strong passion for hiking (the slow kind) and trout fishing! Fish is such a simple thing to cook in the wild and you eat so much of the animal when cooked hole (I don't cut the head off as the best meat is the small jaw muscle nuggets hidden just behind the eyeball, called the "Oysters"). It's not wasteful in the least when you are left with a small pile of guts and bone from a single animal.

You do it up a lot faster than I do in a much more scenic area! How cool, thanks for sharing.
