Running with knives...

Spyderco g-clip. That is how I carry all my edc fixed blades. Unlike the clip you have now, it doesn't require that extra tab on the sheath. It also works without a belt, though not as good, I doubt any sheath clip is as good without a belt.

G clip works quite good on sweat pants since they have sort of a thicker waistband.

I like the idea of that style of knife, but I don't wear belts, hate then passionately, only ever get in my way. So I just always have a neck knife now. Tucks under the shirt and a good lightweight option you won't even notice.

I hear ya on that! It's just so stinking hot that I rarely wear a shirt while running, so a neck knife would bounce around crazy. Also, technically, a fixed blade neck knife worn under a shirt would be considered a concealed weapon here in Florida. I know I've seen some folders with kydex sheaths that you can wear on a chain, but that still wouldn't solve the bounce problem for me.

I've never been able to run or jog because of a hereditary bone disorder, but I have a Buck 110 on me when riding my bicycle or adult tricycle.

I can barely walk, but I can still pedal. :)

I've always been a cyclist too! I have been carrying the Buck Smoke Jumper 110lt a bunch while biking lately. I have mixed feelings on it, love the lightweight-ness, and upgraded blade steel, not a fan of the blade play. I may also carry a SAK in one of my bags on the bike, and occasionally a Mora strapped to it somewhere else, like in this pic on the fork leg!19400076_145157452716732_5143638186909905574_n.jpg

You could wear a cycling jersey when running ... I think triathletes do that.
One of the jersey pockets would give you a place to put a knife. :)

I keep a Buck 371 and 111mm German SAK Army knife in my bike/trike tool bag. :)
The saw especially comes in handy for felling the brush/branches that attempt to force one off the bike/MUP path and into oncoming traffic ... or whack you in the head when you're distracted by a cute gal ...

Very nice bike you have there. Is that in the Everglades?

I don't even wear cycling jerseys when cycling! I have never been able to wear shirts like that, they just irritate me too much, I think I am just weird.

That's a good idea to carry something with a saw!

Thanks, I love this bike! I keep changing up the setup of the Trek 720, it is very versatile. That pic is from the amazing trails in Ocala, FL. I recently moved from there to Ponte Vedra and I miss having the 80+ miles of singletrack! This pic is from a more recent ride...

Sweet rig man. When I run regularly with a Salt or a dragonfly inside the waste band. The dragon fly you don't even know its there. Love it.

Fixed blades are the way to go for running imo. Small fixed blade + kydex sheath + Ulticlip in the pocket is great too! This is my usual knife for gym shorts…
