Running with Knives?

I can't get into those Vibrams Five Fingers. As far as near barefoot running I DO have a pair of Reebok RealFlexs and I love them, I even do some ultralight hiking in them on occasion as they can hold up to a trail pretty well (they were partially designed for trail running). I honestly wouldn't have even picked the Reeboks up except that my buddy works for them and I got them for half off, but now I would buy another pair for full price.

I love my realflexs, now adays I probably do 80 road and 20 woods but they're great shoes.

I just pull the tasman salt off my pfd durring the summer since I'm going out at work. At home I carry a lagriffe, the profile of it seems to keep it from bouncing much, or I tuck it behind my ipod sleeve, or in a chest pocket.

I run with a Boye folder clipped to my waist. It is extremely light - I never notice it. Also is rust-proof, designed for salt water environments.

I clip a BM Mini Ritter, mini Grip or BM 530 in my waistband, stays put and I never notice it is there. If it is close to dark I also carry ome sort of light usually a County Comm aaa on my car key. I love having a knife when I am running in the woods whick is where I prefer to run around.

I run with a ziptie waved Byrd Cara Cara 2 FRN clipped to my shorts pocket and a can of pepper spray in my left pocket.

Fortunately, the only time I've ever had to use either is when I sprayed a couple of dogs that we're nipping at my heels.

Usually just a folder clipped in my pocket. Some days I don't really bother. Kind of depends on the route and time of day for me.

I run with an Izula carried around my neck. I do a lot of trail running and I find it stays put and does not move around. In fact I don't even notice it unless I need it.

I tried my ZT 0300...I kept having to pull my shorts up. So I have been running with either my Cold Steel Voyager clip point Gen.2 or my Recon 1 Gen. 2. Their both light enough that I don't know their there.

I have a Cold Steel delta dart with plastic sheath hanging from my neck when I bike. I don't even know it is there.

I run both trail and street and have thought about carrying a knife especially after I was attacked by a dog. I'm not real worried about the 2-legged beasts but I along with several of my running companions have been attacked or menaced by dogs that were not being adequately controlled by their owners.

Cant run anymore due to 2 knee replacements.

BUT when I did it was with a shoulder rig upside down - S&W 442 [ all weather ] that had a large folder clipped to it [ C/S voyager 6" ].

I practice what I preach, tools make the man.

Been having knee and foot problems lately, but before that, I carried a Spyderco Squeak. Light, thin, and rust resistant, as well as being UK legal. I still try to go for a lot of long walks, and plan on picking up a Cold Steel Dragon Walking Stick for those soon. Being in the military really puts a number on the joints...

I run either with a spyderco tenacious or endura with a zip-tie in the hole so i can wave it either from pocket or iwb. i used to carry a stiff kiss by CRKT but the steel started to rust so i through it in my car in case i forgot my folders
