When I was a kid, this pattern was "The" pattern .....Long before tactical knives were commonplace, these were called "Saturday Night Specials". I luckily scored this one a few months ago. I say lucky, 'cause Mr. Ruple doesn't make many of these, and finding one is really tough. Anyway, a medical emergency in our family makes it necessary for a few things to go....so here she is on the block :(
Five inches closed, four inch, hand rubbed satin finished ATS34 blade, s/s dovetailed bolsters, incredible Ruple "vines and thorns" filework. She's a sharp, straight, and tight slip joint with a half stop. She's been briefly carried and has opened several letters but is 99.999%. Shipped to your door in a zippered pouch. Mr. Ruple gets $750 plus shipping but I need a quick sale so she's yours for $575 shipped! I can take Paypal or a USPS MO. This pic, taken by True North knives, shows her in all her glory.

pre-loading started this afternoon. And you never know when you'll need a good knife to cut a feature...

Haha. Thanks for your good humor, I had figured you would be tired of nerds hounding you by now, enjoy your knife you lucky man.

Hey, Mike - I got the knife, and it's Mr. Ruple's usual excellent work.

I was at lunch and the waitress asked me why I had brought my own steak knife. I tilted the steak up on its side and cut the steak all the way through length-wise.

I hope the medical emergency in your family has worked out for the good.

Gabe

Gabe, that conjures a hedonistic picture - eating a thick piece of prime beef and cutting it with a fine custom knife :) Please tell me that you had a fine wine with lunch, and followed it with brandy and a cigar.
