This was one of those right place, right time deals. :D

Danbo did an extensive WIP thread on this one here - http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...-ElMax-Fighter(incoming-soon)?highlight=elmax

Here's Coop's shot of the finished product...

Some may say a "stock-removal" knife from a ABS Master Smith is sacrilegious (guilty)

I say its awesome!

that'll last a thousand years.

Dayum! Looks even better now that we get to see it through Coop's lens. Such classic, crisp lines at play here. Russ is presently working on the fancy pants version of that piece. ;) Hope to see it in Little Rock.

Roger - thanks for the "heads up" - You want to broker the deal? I don't think I can make Arkansas

It's being delivered if completed for the show. I'll definitely take some pics, though. I'm pretty tickled that Russ is attending for the first time (and Bump amd Cohea and Roush and others). If I can get Farr and Andersen to attend next year I'll be even more tickled.

Mouth watering fighter Michael! Russ taking on a timeless Loveless design and killing it as only Russ could! The sheath looks real good as well....
Exemplary photograph Coop!

Wow it is so clean and elegant. It reminds me so much of George Herron.
That is absolute beauty........Enjoy!:)

This was a surprising unzipping out of the Bill's pouch. I'd remembered the thread, but didn't put the this together.

Sure made me smile. I love the grain in that 1000-year-ready Micarta, and Russ' sheaths are consistently well-made.

Props to all. Even Danbo. ;) Well, especially so. :D

Lorien, as the future 2nd owner of this yet to be completed piece, I definitely vote "NO" to this suggestion.
Please feel free to continue to follow this thread but please I beg you no more ideas like this one...:D

I went back to the original thread, and had a little chuckle : )

Michael, the ERA II pieces are piling up in your corner! That has to be lots of fun.

That one screams "Use me!".
