Russ Andrews Loveless-style fighter with a twist - integral guard! Coop pics added.

nice work,

i still can't figure out the extra difficult work, to get the guard perfect staid again after forging, lost off work

the chosen path is not the easiest one , hats off

kind regards, martin

SWEET!! VERY nice knife and sheath.

The damascus does have a wootz look to it, and I would venture to say, this is one of the times where, as excellent as Coop is in capturing the image in a picture, holding it is a whole different experience.

As usual,Roger was great to work with, and Coop's photos are always
excellent.

Thanks guys, for the comments...

Firebolt: Once the pins were peined, the guard halves were locked into the
notches in the tang. The weld was set carefully, using flat dies to guard
against possible deformation.

Once welded, all shaping of the guard was by grinding.

A Loveless style forged Damascus knife by Russ - how cool is that . That rocks Roger !

Absolutely stunning work!
I'm coming up on Russ' work schedule very soon for a similar piece.
Hunting for the "right" piece of ivory now...

You could save me the aggravation Roger and send me yours - just saying
