RUST, HELP!

It appears I have rust forming all over my AFCK, how can I get it to stop? I've tried tuf cloth.. its not working.

use some metal polish like flitz, then recoat with a protectant

Rust never ceases to mystify me. I was out for a few days in the woods. I had a khkuri made out of 5160 and a Spyderco Moran with mirror polished VG10. Both were somewhat neglected, with the khukuri much more so.

Guess what? The 5160 blade had no rust whatsoever, whereas the VG10 developed rust spots. The Spyderco blade should have lasted longer than the khukuri given the higher chrome and polish. Go figure.

There is also Naval Jelly, a semi harsh chemical that takes out rust. It can be smell and it is abrasive so gloves, ventilation, and a brush are in order.
