rust prevention?

Breakfree CLP works great. There seems to be a lot of ESEE people who use their knives for food prep...both at home and in camp. I don't do that so I don't care. I have a Helle Basic Puukko that is stainless steel for the camp food chores and don't dress game so I am covered. No, I don't backpack...so I can take along as many knives as I need.
 
i just use mine, and i have yet to have any rust problems. if you are going to use your knife for food prep and are worried about rust just use mineral oil :thumbup:
 
Just one cautionary note on Ballistol: it was designed to clean guns, so it will attack/dissolve copper and brass.
