Rust removal on a Swatmandu

I am using Flitz to clean and remove rust. The blades are coated with ren wax for storing. These steps are good for storing only.

The blades will still develop rust when I use them in the field. My sweat and the weather here in Singapore cause rust to develop if I don't clean the blade in a few hours after use. Nothing too serious if I clean them immediately. Black spot will develop after the rust is removed if I don't clean off the rust immediately.
 
Camellia oil is really good for blades. It's food safe, cheap, prevents rust, and tastes a bit minty.

I left my kukri out last week and forgot about it, it is completely rusted. Damn
 
Well, you can pretty much use anything to remove the rust. As for maintaining, any oil will do.
