Hi guys,
A few years back my father found an old method of removing rust from tool's which some of you might find useful.
Quite simply its a 1 part molasses to 12 parts water mix.
You just mix it up and let the tools, knife or whatever soak in it for a while, usually around 1 - 2 weeks depending on how bad the rust is.
Be warned though, it does stain the metal a dark blue/grey colour.
I have some before/after photos around, when I get home from work I will try to get them scanned and posted.
