Rust resistant steel?

BM has always used x15. It is basically the same as H1 only spyderco has rights to H1 as a title I think.
:foot:

Not hardly! Two completely different steels, with entirely different methods of hardening, made by different foundries, in different countries, and no manufacturer has exclusive "rights" to either of them.

There is a French stainless steel known as X-15, which was developed by Aubert & Duval and is supposed to be able to resist corrosion in very harsh conditions such as high humidity environments and saltwater. Boker has used this steel in a number of knives, and Benchmade has stopped using H1 in favor of X-15.

More stainless then most, but still not in the league of H1.

I wasn’t aware that Benchmade had ever used H1, or for that matter any manufacture other then Spyderco. Can you tell me what models they used the steel on.

They used it for a short while on the Model 100SH20 Dive Knife.

It's not like H1 in the fact that it can rust. :p It has a slightly increased levels of edge retention, but still rusts under normal use.

Sakai has some nice models in H1 (G.Sakai probably manufactures the salt series for Spyderco)
