Rust spots showing up on blade

My favorite knife and coincidentally the knife I EDC most is my BM Rift. The knife has spoiled me on all other knives. It's just perfect for me.
What I'm concerned about is I'm starting to notice small rust spots showing up on the blade. I use it in all kinds of circumstances including around water. Can someone suggest to me what I might do to remove the spots safely?

Thanks in advance.

Metal polish like Flitz or Maas will clean it up.

When you're done removing the rust spots, put a coat of wax on the blade to keep away moisture. Johnson's paste wax or car wax will work.

Excellent advice all around! Many thanks all! I knew I'd get an answer here.
