Rusted 1095 High Carbon kitchen knife

I told my sister and my mother to not leave them in a drain board and to dry them but no...they had to ignore what I had to say like I did not know what I was talking about.Will mineral oil take the rust off? its not bad,just 2 days of sitting in water.
 
All you really need to do is hit them with a Scotchbrite pad and wipe them dry. It can't be more than surface rust.
 
You can scrub them with a Brillo pad, rinse, dry. Then oil.
