Thanks folks! Just got it back to shaving sharp with some sand paper and a strop. Had to remove some heavy rolls out of the edge from the *completely normal* task of prying a chainsaw blade back onto the bar
If I had a dollar for every time I've heard "Aren't you worried you're going to break your $400 knife?", I'd have at least 4 dollars.
Love a good user. I did just about everything short of ocean swimming with my satins and stripped infi. Once I got a tiny spot of rust on a logo, but I wiped my thumb across it and it went away.
Which is kinda cool. BTW, nice HK!! Be glad you have those raised sights. If you ever get a chance to own a silencer for that bad boy, you will be glad you had them. Mine has an AAC Tirant and sounds like a pellet with 147+ grain bullets. HK USPs are the best, period!!
Try using Frog lube on your blades! I use it on my Busses, Survive cpm 3vs, and uncoated Swamp Rats. I heat up the blade with a hair dryer and apply a thin coat. Stuff is awesome and no-toxic food grade materials. No problems with rust!
