Howdy, I'm a newbie to knife making, this is such a great resource, so thanks to everyone who has contributed such great information!
I have two questions:
I'm a big fan of a partial rustic/distressed look to the un-beveled part of the blade. I see it quite common on Trollsky's knifes:
Is this simply just left un-sanded after heat treatment? or is there some etching involved?
Second question is about Canadian supplies (for steel, pins, scale material etc...). I know of knifemaker.ca, which is great, just wondering if any other canucks have some good sources!
Thanks again.
