That's why we've not seen Rusty around. I was out for a bit this AM and found a message on the answering machine. He says he thinks it'll be a few days before he shows up here again.

What's the problem this time, Rusty?

I guess we'll have to wait and see!!!!

I'm glad it's only his computer and not him who is sick. I was begining to worry about him. Maybe it's time he got some new software or the computer checked out. Nah, He needs one of those new 1GHz+ Athlon computers with Windows XP.:):D:)

He's had his share of problems down there.

If our little Bro were to take his 30" Sirupati to that computer his immediate problem would be over.
If it's a standard rat tail tang Rusty wouldn't even have to unplug it first.;)
(The computer I meant. And with the thought in mind of 'splanin' myself and havin it backfire I cannot begin to imagine the effects or affects a wired 30" Sirupati might pack. :p  :D )

"You're gettin a 'Dell' Dude!!!!" ;)

I'm afraid it could be a luddite amok...
The problem is, was it before or after Rusy's PC got down?

Rusty dropped by the Cantina yesterday for a too short but very nice visit. He's hobbling a little and using a cane but he's still the same old Rusty.

He told me he was "improving" his computer, adding more ram and when he was finished it wouldn't work. Scares me more than ever when I look at my dinosaur HP.

My 386 computer had an 850 meg hard drive. My present one had 64 megs ram, which got upgraded to 512 meg ram.

Anyone remember a chevy called the Vega a dozen years back? Had to pull the engine to change the spark plugs? Same idea with my compaq and changing memory.

Jerry got it.

Now auto shop explaining fuel pump needs fixing but is inside the engine so to drop it in costs $$$$$$$.

Take out the engine, dismantle it to put in a fuel pump? Gimme a break. Or, better, give you a break.

I wasn't aware the Chevy Vega was that way, but the purdy little Chevy Monza like our daughter Paula had was like that.
It had a 265ci V-8 and no place to put the fuel pump except inside the gas tank.
Paula got very adept at changing out that dayumed fuel pump.
Seems like it was another one of the Chevy Monza's trouble spots.

Seems Compaq's the same way ainnit Rusty?

Thought sure you were gettin' a Dell Dude!!!!!!!:p  ;) :D

Rusty,

Don't feel bad. My "new" Gateway only allows me to add Ram up to 360M which is SLOWWWW for the image manipulations I do with it:( I wish I had known when I bought it that processor speed doens't mean Sh**, its RAM that matters.

Welcome back, Rusty! Long time.

I need to email you privately about something...hope it's OK.

I will probably do it this evening, late.

Welcome back, Rusty!
My Gateway still works efficiently, but they no longer do business here in Japan. If my PC gets down, nobody but myself, an amateur, can take care of it!

Unc, your dinosausr PC is an H-P. Mine is a Compaq. Guess what two companies are consummating their nuptials as we speak?
