As for Dell, I suspect not.
My parents divorced when I was 12. My mom got custody. When I was 16, not knowing a wrench from a screwdriver my dad did one of the nastiest things possible. He told me he had three complete "legal?" Harleys in the garage in boxes as payment from folks who owed him and didn't have the money. If I wanted one, all I had to do was build it myself.
I'm much older and more competent ( at something anyway ) than twice my lifetime ago. And it's still legal to build computers and knives.
