Ryan Weeks is the man...

Just saw this. Well deserved my friend.
Only thing I don't like is the use of your last name only ie "Weeks says...". Is this usually done in English? In French it's rude and shows a lack of respect.

Congrats Ryan. Nice write up and a good mug shot too.

I first met Ryan this year at the Oregon Show. A great young man and makes an outstanding knife.

Thanks again everyone, Paul, Patrice and Bruce...

Bruce I really appreciate you taking the time to look over my knives in Oregon and giving me real in person feedback and advice.

Ryan, that is outstanding, my friend!

It seems like I've been studying your work for so long, I had no clue you didn't sell your first knife until 2011. I'm happy for you. You earned it.

well, looky here! The H.U.K has arrived :)

Seems the customs dudes were performing their due dilligence in keeping me safe from myself...

At any rate, I'm pretty amped on this knife. More pixels coming...

It is not rude in American English. It is a bit more formal. Think vous vs. tu, but not as sctrictly respected.

Lorien, you posted pictures of pictures! You tease!

sorry about the lack of pixels here, my camera's battery died. Will get some in hand shots hopefully this afternoon, (western time)

Very awesome Ryan, Congrats buddy. Lorien, i must say,you do know how to design a badass knife...

I was fortunate enough to meet Ryan Weeks a while back and i must say he is one of the nicest people I have encountered in a long, long time. He showed me some of his work and I had the opportunity to join in a passaround with one of his knives. I'm very impressed.
After seeing several of his knives now, I have one question? How could one decide which handle material to choose? He does them all so well it would be an impossible choice.

I missed this when it was originally posted during my "down time" from the forum and reading Blade.

Ryan and Lorien...late but better than never Congrats, very cool!

Ryan is currently making a batch of HUKS as pictured...

Very cool Lorien! :)

Ryan, Jonnymac, and Jason Magruder drove all the way from the OKCA show up to Castle Rock last spring to stay the night here. Angi and I loved having them here, only wished they could have stayed longer.

I'm glad to see things are really coming together for Ryan! :)

Wow, I missed this as well, congrats on the Blade entry Ryan.

Ryan really is an outstanding guy!

Thanks everyone for the comments. I have been very lucky, and met some AMAZING people I would have not otherwise been able to meet. Some have posted here in this thread and some hide in the shadows!

I have said this before, Lorien has been very helpful in pushing my limits and keeping me on my toes. If you get a chance take a minute to search his past posts here on Bladeforums. It won't take long until you see his passion and eye for design.
