Does that clip come standard on the sebbies now, or is that something special?
I got the clip from Darrel Ralph and had it put on by Reese Weiland. I used a drum sander to smooth out the scallops on the Sebbie's handle and had Reese re-beadblast it.

That image I promised.

Lesse here...

-Casio G-shock G-5600
-SAK Tinker
-Rotring Newton mechanical pencil
-Carbiner with keys plus an Arc AAA
-Some kind of lip balm
-Wilson wallet
-CMG Infinity Ultra around the neck on occasion

I seem to have lost the tweezers on the Tinker. Hmmph. :grumpy:

I've also divested myself of all my tac folders in a mad attempt to upgrade the EDC carry. Missing a one-hand opener lots at the moment. I also need a Luxeon light in the pocket, when funds allow. Also need a pen for the pocket, instead of a mechanical pencil.

The wish list goes on and on...

Here's an updated picture and list

faf4328a.jpg

(you know the drill, add "orig.jpg" for a much larger image)

Large Sebenza and Phone

LM Juice with elastics wrapped around it (makes it work great as like almost a vise grip or a clamp (open up the screwdrivers to keep the elastics in place)) i want to replace/add to the elastics with some ranger rubber bands though (which also serve as easy accelerant for a fire)

CMG Sonic

Chapstick with sparklite attached with electical tape so both can be used but are easier to carry.

Blue "moondust color" space pen (i like it better than the laquered) (no offence to laquered people :) )

Spy Capsule (basically an aluminum capsule made by Bison Designed that is o-ring sealed and comes in two sizes) containing two sparklite tinder tabs (much more compact than the box it comes in)

credit cards with a very small and awesome zebra pen posted about by someone here (ryan?) (i like it much better than the tiny cross pen i had before)

hankerchief

and my already much raved about spyderco mouse (need to get a cf delica to go along with the vg-10 steel).

also, i'd been thinking about adding a rotring 600 rollerball as a kobuton when i can't carry anything else, but i don't really like the balance of it when the cap is posted. on the other hand it seems really sturdy as a kobuton so maybe i'll get it afterall. or maybe i'll end up with a fountain pen version or ballpoint instead

turned into a bunch of little reviews didn't it? well from my last configuration i really like having the sparklite and chapstick together (they bounce around less) and i like having tinder as well without having to carry the clunky box. and i found the fisher space pen just recently so i'm psyched about that. by the way the sparklite will light a cotton ball effortlessly with one hand, i'd really recommend it.

oh one more thing, a good way to carry the spy capsule without it hanging down and bouncing around is to attach it around the belt itself with ball chain or a piece of cord.

Pete

[edit: also, anyone got a good way of carrying some paracord with them (lanyard for one/both of the knives maybe?). any other ideas for that? ]

SIFU1A,

Could you tell me more about carrying your Kahr in your pocket? I've been considering a PM9 for a while now (to replace my Seecamp .32), but hearing that you carry the fullsized one in your pocket has me interested. I've considered the Covert model, too.

Thanks,

-John

If you guys don't mind me asking, where can I pick up a Sparklite? I've been looking for a backup for the cheapo Bic I carry and that seems like it would be a great firestarter. (Unless someone else has another suggestion...)

Grim/Don

the P9 works OK carried in the pocket of my BDU style pants/shorts in a uncle mikes pocket holster, is handy when ya wear a shirt tucked in/cant conceal a IWB style holster, imho a PM9 would work better for that style. wont work w/any jeans i have though, i guess the pistol will fit the pocket but accessiblity isnt very good. i THINK the PM9 would work in jeans but havent tried it yet, am fixing to get my wife one so we'll see.

greg

edited to add: imho the entire kahr line is darned good, the poly frame is the way to go for EDC because of the weight though, imho the steel frame is just tooo heavy for me anyway. also like the 9MM, had a .40 covert for a while and i can simply shoot the 9MM better. for EDC i dont think ya can go wrong w/the kahr, have also tried a glock 33 which i carried for several yrs, but the P9 is just so much slimmer its unreal. right now i have 2 PM9's, my wife carries one, and neither have ever malfunctioned, and the accuracy is also very good, much better than i expected. have fired about 1800 rounds of assorted ammo, they both like the ranger 147 SXT rounds, or speer gold dot 147's, wont mention group size, but very acceptable, even for a much larger pistol imho. i love the things, never thought i would prefer to my glocks, but i do. my P9 is more accurate at 15' than my wifes SIG P225 9MM, which is one of the most accurate autos i own, probably the most accurate. if ya get one ya wont regret it i promise

Thanks Greg. I think I'll be getting the PM9 with the Tungsten DLC Coating on the slide sometime soon.

I also have a Streamlight Scorpion flashlight in the car, along with an original Leatherman SuperTool. In addition, I've recently been carrying a SRKW Camp Tramp in the trunk [for preparing dinner at my girlfriends home], and a small metal kazoo I bought some years back. Maybe one day I'll become proficient on it. :D

I gotta say, I never thought I'd see this EDC combo. If anybody gives you a problem, and the Camp Tramp doesn't deter them, you can annoy them away with the kazoo. :D

Come to think of it, there are a couple of other gentlemen on the forum who carry a harmonica.

I had to post that- the combination seemed just odd enough to be very appealing. :D Ever listen to Jim Kweskin's Jug Band? It makes you consider the kazoo in a different light.

BTW- I like your avatar. A Spyderco G-10 Navigator was one of the first knives that I bought, and my first Spyderco. It's still one of my favorites, although I don't carry it too often these days.

Frank

Frank, I've never heard of Jim Kweskin's Jug Band, but I'll look for some sound clips. I have some fiddle and banjo music, so I suspect I might like it.

Thanks for the comments on my Navigator. I think it is a great looking knife in the closed position. I need to retake the picture though. The avatar is slightly off-kilter and kind of bugs me when I look at it. Or I might replace it with a picture of my Mouse, which is another favorite.
