at a 10" blade its roughly the size of the the large choppers common to american makers these days. the busse/swamprat/scrap yard battle mistres/battle rat/dog father, ferhmans final judgement, kershaw outcast, cold steel trailmaster, and to a lesser extent the benchmade offsider.

If it was 3/8" thick, then I would say that its probably a little big for normal use. But at 1/8", that knife looks really nice for general cutting with some required chipping and light clearing work
