There are some flaws, but I'm actually fairly surprised myself that it turned out the way it did
I'm thinking I'll make a display for it and submit it to next year's art show, just cuz

Awesomeness! How did Autumn Blade fare at the show?

I got a lot of nice compliments, and it almost sold but I talked the person who wanted to buy it into getting two other knives from me more suitable to them. Reminded me of when I had a bike shop and constantly talked people out of buying a new bike and getting their existing bike fixed up and dialed in instead. Sales is not my strong suit, lol!

The piece didn't win any awards or get sold, but just having it accepted and shown was a huge big deal to me!

hey folks!

So I decided to make a display stand for this piece. The idea was to submit it to the local art show, but they declined it. Still, I wanted to make a display for it anyway so I'm glad I did.

Each component was found in the Hills and Forests in my area, all at separate times and in different places.

The padding adhered to the stand that holds the knife in place is the same deer skin that the sheath is lined with.

The standoffs for the base of the stand are waxed, veg tan leather, and intended to evoke a boot print.
