S. Cook's Lochsa

My Locsha doesn't arrive until 2008 or 2009.

I got my order in just before Scott stopped taking orders.
 
I'm lucky enough to have a locsha but really wish Scott would make a Small Lochsha. I believe I'm on Scott's list if and when he ever makes one. I've been waiting for years now, come on Scott!
 
I owned a Lochsa previous but sold it off (at $600 I might add, not any of today's prices, lol)....thinig is, the handle was too small for me...my melted Sebenza fits my mitts better. Of course the fit and finish is an entirely different matter.

The Lochsa is great, but at $925...there are other choices. You could try a Mayo for less.
 
A BF member graciously lent his lochsa to me to try a few years ago.

There where a few things I didn't like, it didn't fit my hand, the thumbstud was ramped wrong, IMO, and the narrowed spine on the blade was not confortable for my thumb. YMMV.
 
I've been searching for Mayo's knives. I like the weight reduction inovation. Really nice, high-tech, heavy duty folders, but I can't find any that I like for sale. There are so many variations (which is good :)). I'd like a bowie style blade with a flat handle.

P.S. Still no reply from Scott. Not expecting it anymore. I guess he gets so many emails and calls and he wants to reduce the order list first.
 
Three years and counting since I ordered my Lochsa. Scott has not responded to my e-mails or phone messages. Anyone ever hear from Mr. Cook?
