Schatt & Morgan (by Queen) Cotton Sampler knife (2007, Model 04161C, 1 of 100 run). 4 1/4" closed, 3 3/16” long blade (0.13” thick) in polished 420HC steel; brass liners and lanyard hole; green moss bone. Pinch-only opening on broad blade (1” at its widest point), a 7 pull by my estimate, with a rather snappy backspring (handle carefully when opening, and particularly when closing as it will cut you viciously if your fingers are in the way). Backspring is not flush in half-stop position.

I bought it new, but came with no box/papers (I figure it came from a dealer’s display counter). Its strong backspring was causing blade to be dented in the middle when closing unassisted from the half-stop. I re-sharpened the blade with sharpmaker and cut a V-shaped grove on the inside of the backspring – problem solved (some scratches were unavoidable on the brass liners). I made a wet-molded, unlined leather slip for it, and added a short leather lanyard. I have not carried it, keeping it in my desk drawer and used it only to open a couple of envelopes. I think it will make a gorgeous EDC knife.

Paypal $95 (includes fees and priority shipping, US only). Not interested in trades.

Thanks, Raul

Still available. A great alternative (in stainless, and larger) than the recent GEC Navy rope knives. :)
