I suppose that's possible, but I still think that Boker was involved in these. The similarity between the Boker Mini-Smatchets and the S&W version is just too overwhelming. On top of that, why were the three lines ground off. Doesn't seem like the Taiwanese manufacturer would go along with that, and anything manufactured over there has to be so marked, I believe. Besides, by the time these knives were made, Taiwan was usually designated by PRC(Peoples Republic of China).
As always, I could be totally out in left field.
