LOL. Talk about using the wrong tool for the job. Those tasks are what my brush hook is for.

That magic knife you have that shoots the blade out the front and then when you push the switch it sucks the blade back in, that thing seemed like a pretty thin sharp knife. And what about your balisongs?

You should get to slip joints. Not that slip joints wouldn't be generally thin enough but further regrinding them to almost zero grind with little micro bevel makes them slicey!! And sofar I have not damaged any despite cardboard and whittling. IMO there is no point to make knives so obscenely thick!

Totally agree.

I am a bit frustrated with the current knife market, which is dominated by overly thick blades and with less thin blade options.
Regarding the edge angle, even door stoppers are more acute!
Bummer!

I'm guessing this one is around 14 or 15 degrees per side. I sharpen freehand, so not sure of the angle to the exact degree.

if it cuts, I don't care so much about angles. my biggest beef with makers isnt thicker blades and edges, it's not getting somewhat even bevels and edges. I really dislike having to reprofile and even out brand new knives......so they can be easily touched up.

I'm pretty sure at that level. Cardboard cuts itself. You just get the knife close..and ZIIIIP. Poof does it out of sheer fear.

With that regrind, it will cut anything with just its own weight....
