S110v for a small fixed blade?

I commisioned a knife from a maker of my design.
It's a trailing point in 1/8th thick steel of his choice. With a wicked pointy trailing point blade with a 30 degree zero ground chisle blade. 3.75 Inch cutting edge 4 over all blade length.

Im not one to question a makers choice in steel but it seems a little odd to me given that my requirements were for an abusable knife with superior rust resistance.

Sharpening is not an issue as is cutting performance. I was not looking for a laser beam of a slicer.

Should I be worried about edge stability or brittleness of this steel?
The application of s110v for an abuser seems odd but given that it will have alot of steel behind the edge it seems okay? My Hartfield and Fikes EDC chisels have the same dimentions and I abuse them.

I haven't seen many s110v fixed blades and sesrching the forums hasn't addressed my answers. I know s110v is Beast to grind.

Have you seen this thread?

I read these forums a fair bit and it seems to me that there may be a consensus building that toughness is very over rated in smaller knives. Just because smaller knives do not typically see all that much abuse to really take advantage of the toughness vs wear resistance trade off.

I have no idea who is building your knife but does the maker know just how you intend to use/abuse the knife?

Maker knows what I plan on using it for. Basically a filxed blade version of a spyderco military. With my preference in grind and an obtuse edge geometry for abuse.

Edit my definition of abuse: turing out of the cut, prying, scraping, digging with the tip, heavy cutting. Lots of rotational force. Cutting open cans, cutting wire, heavy plastics, rubber.

For those types of uses steel choice is pretty important. But the edge geometry and heat treat is really what is gonna determine performance here. I dont see any reason why 110 wouldnt be great here given the correct heat treat and geometry. Now If this was a larger knife like a large camp knife or small machete, S110V probably wouldnt be a good choice. Why dont you contact the maker directly with your concerns?
