S110V Millie back in stock.....should I pull the trigger?

I guess it wasn't so "weird" after all.
I was trying to respond to Frosted Flakes but quoted the wrong person. I’m on mobile so I figured it wouldn’t be worth everyone’s time to explain everything so I just scrapped it.

I appreciate the input you posted earlier in the thread. Sorry for the confusion.

I have had a few different millies. In my opinion, the s110v is the one to get. I like to spend time outdoors in the backcountry and the combination of excellent wear and corrosion resistance were my priority. The s110v version delivers on both of those properties, perhaps more than any other steel I have tried.

I will agree with others that it can be a bear to sharpen. I have a nice diamond set up so it is ok for me but if I didn't, I think I would like this steel a lot less.

Also, s110v doesn't keep a very keen edge for that long in my experience. It will dull slightly and keep a toothier "working edge" for a looong time though. Depending on your intended use, that might matter or it might not but that's something I would note about s110v.

Good luck with your decision!
