S110V PM2 Coming! (Production model!)

Definitely interested in this one. I carry a PM2 regularly in the rotation with Endura 4 FFG and Rat 2. I'm not a big "sprint run/exclusive guy" when it comes to pricing. Hopefully the bladesteel won't cause too big a price jump, I've been keen on trying the s110V blade and just can't get behind the lightweight manix. I can feel the handle squeezing under regular use. I'm sure it would hold up, but it just doesn't "feel" strong.

I'll most probably skip the S110V version... I have a few well used sprints that still bring a smile to my face: M390, 20CP and a newish Ti 204P.

I think I'll keep my one s35vn user, 204p safequeen, and add the s110v and call it a day. Unless they release a 3v one. lol

Agree about a 3V one (or any other steel that maximizes impact resistance)...

Preordered today, should come "end of year". I'm looking forward to it. Maybe a Christmas present....

first question: how does one sharpen s110v? i've having problems with s30v.
I'd recommend the Sharpmaker diamond or CBN rods, as well as patience. Aside from that, the best thing you can do is sharpen often, so the blade never gets too dull. This advice is true of any high wear steel; I don't find S110V to be that much more difficult to sharpen than S30V.

I don't have experience with S110V, but I have several knives in S90V. I used to use the Sharpmaker, but it seems to take a long time with any of the modern steels. Now I sharpen freehand with Shapton ceramic stones. It's much faster. S90V and CTS 204P take slightly longer than S30V and similar steels.

I have no trouble keeping my Manix2 LW S110V sharp using the Sharpmaker with the standard rods. But I don't let it get dull. I got the CBN rods recently to reprofile some VG10 edges but it shouldn't have any trouble sharpening S110V.

I also have a DMT Deluxe Aligner diamond system and added an Extra Coarse stone in case something needs serious work.

As others have mentioned, the only issue is that it just takes a bit longer.

I got my S110V Manix 2 and my M4 Manix 2 pretty dull, and sharpened them easily with the diamong stones of my DMT Aligner system. I also sharpened my Bradley Folder and another M4 knife with the same system.

They have been shipping, but they get bought up pretty quickly. I was able to snag one at the end of January and it's my favorite blade right now. I only strop it once in a while and it still gets pretty sharp. When I can't strop it to my liking I've already accepted the fact that I'll need to get some diamond stones but so far I'm very happy with this steel and love the blue G10.

I just picked up a Native CF/s110v..

It was sharpened, but not too my liking. Like it was took across a belt sander. :/

Diamond rods in the sharpmaker @ 40°, straight to the strop..
It took a little time, but reprofile'n was the time consuming part.
I don't think it will take any time or effort to keep it sharp.

Pretty satisfied with the shaving edge and Stoked about the Native!

My C81GPDBL2 has been on order from Knifeworks since October 2015 (it is now April 2016). They are not shipping from Spyderco, no word anywhere I can find as to when they will start shipping again.

C81GPDBL2 will be back in production in May through July and will ship shortly thereafter.

I know where they are showing in stock but not sure if they are a approved vendor here or not, $169, a little higher than original list but not too bad.
