Ive been a big fan of the Razel ever since I handled one on the Razel passaround we had in 2004. I bought one in S30V and Ive carried it every day since I got it. Im in the electrical maintence field of work. On any given day youll find me cutting wire, stripping wire, cutting conveyor belt for a new splice, cutting plastic wrap off rollers, or off bearings, etc. The front edge of the knife is very useful when cutting material that gets wrapped around the bearings between the frame and roller.
I thought the S3 wouldnt be as handy, I didnt have the knife long, but what cutting I did with it I was impressed. The forward angle of the leading edge worked well for piercing those Bubble Packs we all hate. The sweep on the main edge makes me believe that it would even work as a skinner. I didnt get to test the knife at work, but I now believe it would work well as a work knife.
As is the case with everything Ive seen from the Grahams, the fit and finish on the knife is top notch. And this one is no different. Quality materials and work go into each of their knives. If you need a hard use knife, youll never go wrong with any of the Razel designs.
Id like to thank Tom for setting this up and Josh & Jon Graham for giving us another of their fine knives to play with.
