Now I 'm going back to Bass Pro to get my Cabela's Alaskan Guide knife signed by Chuck Buck.
be sure to say hello to the man for us

Will do ,I will get more pictures and post them unlike the "Blade" show pictures we are still waiting on.

From what I remember, can't you get a BG-42 upgrade (read custom) with stag on an original $29 special on a #110 for less that that (Buck custom shop) S30V stag in the catalog? The new 2006 catalog arrived and it caused some thought ... (always a bad thing when it involves the wallet!). :D

yep for $124.00 devivered with silver bolsters, stag and BG42.....S30V is available only from Cabela's.....for now.

Cablea's Wish Book came in the mail today.
Page 550 shows a 110 Alaskan with Stag. The item doesn't match the alpha-reference in the catalog...got it mixed up with the Mini Alpha and that folding Alpha with the gut-hook (number escapes me).
Anyway...the 110 is going for $149.99
It's not on their web site yet.

It's not??? Then how come it's in my drawer?
Wouldn't know...I've never been in your drawers
Personally, since we're sharing, I opt for the commado fit every now and then, but when in drawers, just the usual stuff hanging around.

Thought I had a new lead...it's marked "NEW" in their cat.
Sorry to take up post space...

I guess I really need to watch how I word things don't I. :o
Nah, you're just dealing with a 20 year Navy brat that had to joke his way through the tough kids at 12 different schools so he wouldn't get beat up since he was so scrawny.
I should watch it myself ;)

I received an AG with stag scales a couple of weeks ago. I spent some time this morning getting photos posted, so here is a nice look at it.

Beautiful knife!

Now I'm not sure which to get...the stag AG 110 or another Custom Shoppe 110.
Too many knives, never enough money!:D

Get the stag AG 110 now, and then get another custom shoppe knife in the future.

Simple!

Mike,
It is interesting to read that they only made 500 of those, and see that it has a 2004 date stamp. Surprised they still have some. I wonder why I didn't grab one ????

And thanks for that link Trax...

Larry,
I'm glad you noticed that. My original Alaskan Guide 110 has no markings on it at all; zip.
