Hi Mike,

Goose,
And my step-mom!!!
If I got one of those I'd be hard pressed not use it everyday.
Ah, I'm talking about the 110AG.

Marvin.....the AG stag goes into the collection and you keep the AG wood is for EDC.....LOL. I got the AG wood just before Hunting season and its been with me every day.....Now I have 2X AG wood and 1X AG stag:rolleyes: . But....goose "as your collection is growing every day" Its time to add the AG stag:cool:  .

You know, the original poster, Razorback Knives, has not posted again in this thread...I was waiting for a picture along with some others:p.

Come on Scott, post a pic of your fine knife and tell us of it's vitures:D ;) :D. Preston

yea he should show you what he got for the other 110AG ...
and now i want stag!!! let me know how much the stag upgrade is!
i did not know we could send one in to get stag?

Yowzah! If we can send to Buck a basic Cabela's 110 AG to get stag slabs, I'm on the phone today!

Can this be true? Be still, my heart! I need oxygen.

Hey Scott--do you have to keep antler away from your beagle? My departed, and dearly missed, boy beagle went nuts every time he saw my Knives of Alaska D2 caping knife with the antler handle. One day he managed to get it, somehow, from the top of my dresser while I was in the shower. I came out of the bathroom to find him on the living room couch, the unsheathed blade (VERY sharp) between his paws, gnawing on the antler handle. He was fine, lived three more years, always getting into some kind of trouble. One day I'll replace those slabs on that knife. But I'll never be able to replace my boy.

...It's sometimes amazing how "gingerly" a dog can hold onto something as he/she happily gnaws away at it...Gotta luv 'em...LOL...:)

I know what you mean. I walked into the living room once to find my Weimaraner chewing on a 10 dollar bill... I still have it, in my trophy cabinet (well, it's now half a 10 dollar bill) with that dogs picture and favorite collar...gone but never forgotten...

Just received a Cabela Buck 110 w/stag and the S30V blade. It's a nice early Christmas present!

Cheers,
ScottK

I'd like to see a photo, too. When you buy on-line, you never know until it arrives what the stag will look like. Some have more "bark" than others. The randomness is part of the natural beauty, but it also makes it chancy as to the look.

Another thing about 110s that I've discovered since I started collecting them. Some open slicker than others. I'm not talking about knives of different vintages. I mean brand new 110s, side by side, that differ. One will be like deer guts on a doorknob, the next will be like the mainspring was made from a Ford axle. Anyone else found that?

Thank you so much for that mental picture... :barf:

Oh, you know what I mean. Does anyone know if custom shop 110s have bronze bushings, or something like that? My one custom shop 110 is MUCH slicker opening than most of my other 110s.

And I've got a stag-handled one (factory) that opens very stiffly. I put a OAB on it, and it kinda hurts. Certainly not any faster than a traditional nail-nick opening.
