If you wish I could shoot you an e-mail, otherwise these two barong, bolo are on e-bay, look under collectables- keywords s30v/bolo/barong. the s30v ones are the first price for my forum family, 0-1 tool steel ones are half that.I hope I havent violated any forum rules for selling, That is not my intention but thanks for the comments.

We mainly have been testing cutting ability rope, limbs (tree limbs) and other various soft materials and I am pleased with the edge geometry. I am estatic about the material and how well the edge holds up.A few people have this style barong with the handlle and this will now be my standard handle. The responses with those that have used this and the bolo are pleased with how little effort is needed to slice, dice and thrust along with doing certian patterns This is all due to the blade shape.I was given a recipie for this particular steel and have not varied from it and that is why it performs like it does.I am affiliated with some folks on the East coast so I believe you may be seeing these shortly come around.

I'm sorry that I must not have read closely enough. I didn't know that you made it. I thought you bought it elsewhere. Awesome job!
What kind of long machete would this steel make? Would it be a good choice for a lightweight, thin stock, long length for hacking saplings at the base without bending over? I'm guessing at least 30" thin profile blade. The only thing that I have in this to compare is a short folder.
