Woohoo! Yesterday was a great day. I finally got my backordered Ritter Grip which I ordered a month ago or so. I also finally got a Lone Wolf D2! My family was in town and we went to a local knife shop, my generous dad talked me into picking up a LW D2 by going in half with me, and then he wouldn't take my money from me later!

I got my hollow grind Griptilian not to long ago, and I just had to try out the Ritter Grip. The blade shape was very appealing, so I had to try it out. So far I love it! The stonewashed finish isn't anything to fancy, my brother thought I had bought a used knife! I miss the thumb hole from my other Grip, but not too much. I haven't had a chance to give the Ritter Grip a beating yet, but I'll post once I have.

The D2 is just awesome. I've been drooling over Lone Wolf knives since I moved to Oregon, and I've also been drooling over double action autos since moving to a state where they are legal. It was a hard choice between the D2 and the Lobo, but I really like the beef of the D2 more. It's a tad bigger than my regular EDC, but it was well worth it. The clip was incredibly tight! So I spent some time working on it to bend it a little to loosen it up. I'm still adjusting to tip down carry. I love the blade geometry, and the grind is just great. I've been looking at the same D2 in the shop for a few months, so I was able to make sure it didn't have any quality issues or defects. I'm planning on adding this to my EDC and my in-the-wild rotation. I know auto's are the norm in the wild, but I'm interested to see how this Harsey design holds up to some abuse and elements. I've done some testing on the liner lock already, and it hasn't slipped yet.

I just pulled these images from the web, I'll take some of my own as I'm testing them out!

I also picked up some Benchmade Blue Lube (paraffin based) and simichrome paste to do some maintenance on my knives. I also just got some buffing compound for my stopping belt for my little Delta grinder... which is my single best knife accessory purchase. It's just amazing! (the strop and paste).

Wooo! Any particular pictures requests or tests for these two knives? I plan on comparing the two grips to each other, and the two S30V blades to each other as well.

I have both sizes of the Ritter Grip' also and love them both. They are the only two folders I carry and use. I have a couple Vic Farmers I keep in bags but don't EDC. No experrience with the other one but it looks like a nice one too.

Nice stuff! Any pics of these things in action is welcome.

The gunk on the blades is leftovers from a vicious apple attack!

Well it's been a while, and I've only managed one picture! Here it is though. I'm having a hard time picking one to carry over the other. So I've officially got an EDC rotation now. I love these two knives. And, my wife is excited about getting my "old" Griptilian! She's slowly warming up to knives!

Nice blades Naked. Gotta love those grips. Benchmade is a fine company.

Never had a lone wolf, but they sure look like a nice folder.

Looking forward to the review on the Lone Wolf. I've been looking at the combo edge version of that knife for awhile now. I'm hoping there are some at Blade West so I can get a better look in person as all I've seen is the website material and I don't know of any knife shops in the Portland area that carry Lone Wolf stuff.

The Gun Room in Portland is listed as a dealer, not familiar with them though. It's definitely a pleasure to carry around. The pocket clip is WAAAAY to tight, I had to bend it a tad (which was hard to do). Though STR can make a replacement clip for it, and one for tip up carry.

I'm not a fan of partially serrated blades, but so far there is nothing about the knife that I'm not enjoying. If the overall knife was .25 to .5 inches shorter then it might just be perfect.

I'd really like a scale release auto next, but I don't like the Lobo or the Double Duty that much, I might get a SERE and have it converted.

Thanks for the info on the Gun Room. I'll have to make my way over there sometime.

Personnaly I have found the partialy serrated blade very useful so I carry one on me at all times anymore. As a folder though. I'm not a fan of partially serratted fixed blades as I feel it ruins the point of having a 6-7 in fixed blade knife. I have never tried to baton a serrated edge but it seams like it would be less than ideal.

Still looking forward to your review at any rate. The fit and finish, performance and impressions of the knife are what I am interested in. The difference in blades won't be a factor.
