The review is very interesting. I really want the ZDP knife now. The hard use and the delicate use of ZDP is excellent.

I really wonder when the zdp version of Delica will come out. It will disappear very fast by you guys for sure... :D
 
Hi outofgum,

The lamination of ZDP is for stamping purposes. Solid ZDP must be laser cut.

The ZDP Delica4 should be out shortly. We had samples at the SHOT show.

I doubt there will be any gross blade failures, that isn't a prybar style knife anyway. That being said, there really isn't any need for anything but the edge to be ZDP-189 as that is the only part that cuts, and laminates can keep the cost of manufacturing down. Spyderco used this steel well in the Calypso Jr. which is commonly recommended for a high performance cutting folder, ideal for that steel.
