A few years ago I got my hands on some scrap s30v steel from a knife run at Randall King Knives in Asheville, NC. I have since moved to Indianapolis but have not had a chance to set up my workshop or pursue any of these old hobbies. I am looking for a knife maker (preferably local) who could heat treat this knife for me so I can see how it performs. Its approx. 7.25" x 2.625" and I have not put an edge on it yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Nick

You might also give some thought to using one of the professional companies. For small batches, you can try Tru Grit (more affordable for single blades), and if you're going to do more, Peters Heat Treat is one of the best in the business.
