S30V Navigator

I belive the Navigator is discontinued so VG10 is probably the the best steel you will find on it.

Let me know how that works out. Natives look like they're very handy and S30V Natives look like they'll barely see the Sharpmaker.

Will do.I have 2 blue Natives and an SS Native. It is one of my favorate designs.

I recall that Native is coming out real soon, as in the factory is already making them.

Just called the Spyderco Outlet. They're selling the S30V Native for $83.95. A beefy, ambidextrous S30V folder with an MSRP under 84 bucks.

So if I am indeed infected with the Spydie Virus, is there any way to train my leukocytes and macrophages to eat the Spydie-antibodies?

Hey Thom, does Pete know that you have caught the Spyder bug? :p

Since you now have the Spyder virus, what are going to do with your 921?

Geez....84 bucks?!? I just got my FRN S30V Native (and love it!) for 63.99. Its a wonderful knife, well worth the 64 dollars; 84 is a little steep.

Unless you told on me ;), Pete doesn't know.

I'm keeping both 921 Switchbacks. I'm loving the look of the Dodo and the direction that Spyderco's taking with the Boye dents and S30V and learning that they've been making reversible clipped knives all along, but I'm keeping all of my Benchmades and will slowly grow that collection as long as Benchmade continues to make knives I want.

The thing is, this Spyderco company makes knives that fit my needs for a lower price and they're very responsive to consumer demand. How long have you been rallying for a 705D2?

Shawn02,

Where'd you get your FRN S30V Native? If you can't say here, please send a note to me at tbrogan1@mindspring.com Thanks

I just found one but the place only had one.Glasshartt said it may be a while before spyderco starts shipping them(?).She will sell them for 50.00 when she gets them.John Jensen may know who has one.

Couldn't wait. Got the retail one. My wife wanted to buy me some knives for my birthday and no one had my first choice. My cutie spoils me rotten.

I'm going crusade for a production 705M2. BKC needs more M2 axis-lock knives to compete with Spyderco's upcoming S30V knives. And I need more S30V Spydies and M2 Benchmades.

I know your opinions on BT2, but I think that the 705HS with BT2 coating will be the door-opener to D2 and BC1 coating.

That way we could look to Spyderco for irresistable new releases and BKC for indestructable classics. For instance, my 921's need a Dodo or two to be their pudgey little siblings and my forthcoming Delica needs a 705HS to keep it from acting up.

I am awaiting delivery of my first S30V Spydie.New Grahm only had the one.I hope it is as good as I have heard. If it is that much better than 440V I am sure I will be happy.
It is an early Valantine(sp?)gift from my wife.

:) :D :D :)

When is the Dodo set for release? I thought it was a very ugly knife at first, but it is starting to grow on me. I will wait until I get the chance to see one in person. I have bought too many things without seeing them up close and being disappointed.

PE Native.Mike at New Grahm is a great guy to buy from.I ordered it late today and he still got it in the mail the same day.
