S30V Stockmans, anyone?

I'd love to see more 301's, but after reading about the types of knives that are coming out of the custom shoppe, I wouldn't necessarily be lining up at the door.

CTS-XHP would be a great choice, too. This is like a stainless D2, but much better. With the right heat treat it holds an edge for a very long time but is not overly difficult to sharpen.

I am not much on 5160 for a knife like this. 50100B is a much better choice.

I would probably buy one and hope that the back springs were stronger. I know its an issue that gets brought up a lot and for many its no big deal. To me it is. I don't think they have to be super tight as some brands out there are but think they shoulder be a bit stronger like they use to be. Just my opinion. If they made them with stronger back springs and choices in the CS I could see myself not only buying a few as users but also getting into collecting new 300 series knives. Flat grind blades would be a plus but not going to hold my breath.
