S30V Ti Framelocks

Kershaw's Storm I and Storm II are stainless framelocks, but no S30V blades. It seems to me that I read somewhere that Titanium is 60% the weight of steel? Don't know for sure.

One other thing. Firetacs are not production knives but rather custom.

Btw, the steel framelocks would be tougher than titanium, but if the titanium is heat hardened I think it about equals out. The Sebenza lock has been heat hardened. Amnother thing about titanium is it's "memory" , the ability of it to snap over and lock up at the same place time after time with no weakening. Course that may be a moot point since steel would not lose it's memory until approx. 100,000 openings! Again I read this somewhere so it all may be BS.

What about a hardened stainless Sebenza frame lock? Wouldn't that be sweet? Has anyone made any stainless frame locks besides CRKT with the big Serengeti Hunter. Seems to me stainless would hold up better than the softer titanium. I wish CR offered both so you could chose.
To bring up the A.T.R. again, it also comes in a stainless model as well as the titanium model. VG10 insted of S30V though.

I've been staring at the Combat Elite RRF . . . titanium with G-10 inserts on one side and an S30V blade all for $200. Hmmmmm . . .

One of the best frame locks for the money IMO is the Camillius EDC.It has a stainless frame and 420 or D2 blade. For more money you can get a Talonite blade.
Also there are probably dozens of custom makers making frame locks now, most with S30 steel.
