Hey guys...where can I buy a single bar of S30V....say, 3/16" thick 1.5" wide and a foot long?

So far as I know, to date, you will not get the thickness you specify. It will be oversized. As an example, the 3/32nd I have been ordering is more like about 0.123 inch (about 1/8th). The S30V needs a few mill ground off anyhow and that may be a reason for the over thickness from the vendor. One foot??
I suppose you're asking if any of us have that on hand. I have 3/32nd (as described above). Pop's has some of the larger sizes and has more of my smaller sizes. Admiral is selling S30V now too at a lower cost.

Most vendors I have noticed sell minimum 18 inches, but I suppose one could specify any length at an optional cutting cost.

Its true that their steel is oversized, nut that allows it to be ground to size. My last 3/32" order was .105" thick and 1/8" is in the .140" range. Think of it as a bonus-you get more of the finest steel for your money.
