The description in the video above says that "all future models will feature S35V. Coming soon to a store near you.":thumbup:

Anyone else excited about this?

That's interesting! I have been playing with a few different ones from another brand that is using S35V on a few of their models. Works but would destroy those edges given their edge angles unlike EKI's for my work needs. It would be interesting to see how it holds up being that a true comparison needs to be made using the same model knife and blade grind geometry.

Ernie nailed 154CM so capably, it's my favorite treatment of it. If he does the same magic to S35VN... wow... Droooooool...

I never liked 154cm except the way Emerson does it. Every knife I have tried in s35v I have hated but I'm sure Emerson will find a way to do it right.

Is this for real? I have a hard time believing Emerson is switching over to s35vn.

Looking forward to it.

If nothing else it's a reason to pick up a new Emerson!

Thanks for the heads up!

Description:

The CQC-7 Flipper features the wave remote opening system as well as a thumb disc and of couse the new Emerson Flipper. Also the new bearing system and all future models will feature S35V. Coming soon to a store near you.

Think it is save to say expect future models in S35VN.

^yep i would like that as well, but......i'm not a knifemaker so what i think isn't important.

i prefer the 154cm as well. s35v is okay and i got no real complaints in other makers i own who use it. just prefer 154cm, guess i need to buy all i need ahead of time.

This info is easy to misinterpret. Sorry about that. Just the CQC-7 Flipper will be S35V.
