S35VN vs M390

I dont have experience with m390 or any of its variants but I have found that s35vn (at least on my zt) has had great edge retention. I find it FAR better at holding a shaving sharp edge than the s30v on my manix and the 154cm on my griptilian. But have always heard that m390 is the super-est of all the super steels so im not sure.

That particular blue on the Para 2 in M390 in my mind is one of the very best looking of any of the Para Military models. I've always liked that one.

I don't have enough quality time with S35VN to have an opinion but M390 I do for sure.
I don't know that it is the superest of the super steels but it never lets me down. I like it a lot and would heartily recommend it.

I'm happy with either steel. In the real world, their performance is so close as to make little difference, IMHO. S30V is one of the best balanced knife steels I've come across; S35Vn and CPM 20CV (twin to M390) may be a tad easier to sharpen. Performance is also affected by blade geometry.
