Ive been wondering alot lately if Uncle E ever expects to make a full run of the saber grind 16's. Nothing againsts the FFG 16's (I have one) but I just feel a strong hankerin for a mini BK2 !!!! Anybody else thought the same thing?....... Everytime I see a pic of the First Production 16's I cry alittle inside, theyre just so damn sexy !!! Sorry if this has been asked already.

I have one of the FPR 16's. I love the saber grind myself. Not saying it's slicier, just prefer the looks over the FFG. I would love to have a saber ground 16, without the "FPR" on the side.

How deep is the etching on those? Anyone just sanded the hell out of em until its gone?

I wish he did, the saber 16's are much nicer in terms of looks and will probably baton better too.

I've read about peeps wanting to attempt it, and even read one, iirc, that they were in the process of it, but I haven't seen any photos of it yet.

You could always get a FPR 16 and Clich it. You can still see the laser etch on mine, but between the etch and the sanding it's washed out enough that it doesn't bother me. I really like the Saber 16, and I highly recommend it. It's just about a perfect bushcrafter. I really need to get a FFG16 to compare it to, though.

Don't think the saber is ever coming back. Ethan wanted the ffg for how long. Now that he's got it, I wouldn't expect a push for a saber version.

I'm sure you're right, but a limited run for Beckerheads would be cool.

My name is Greybush and I approve of this message.

Not a jealous guy much, but you select few with the non-laser blasted 16's make me cry a little inside.

Just keep the pressure on KaBar to make some more in Saber, I bet they'd do it.

Tomorrow I will post a video of Ethan answering my question of "Why did the first production run have the saber grind and not the full flat grind?" I will upload it after work. And no I am not going to tell you why now. :D

If you want the saber grind for looks, I can understand, but the FFG kicks its ass as a better knife all the way around.

Take it from someone that has used both quite extensively.
