Just learning about Busse Blades.
The SFNO really caught my eye. I read about Saber Grinds & Full Flat Grinds -What are the difference between the grinds?
Does one of the grinds make the knife stronger?
Could someone post a picture of the two?
Trying to learn, thanks for your help.

Check out Lundes pics, here is one of each grind.

I don't get me wrong they both look great but that sabre grind...hmmm...sexy. Utilitarian with a sexy twist.

+1 Heck Yeah! The Sabre Grind with Mag TigerHides are my favorite of all the SFNOs

Hey Ban, don't get to comfortable with that little package you'll be getting soon. ;)

Lunde, from the pic that NO looks like a FF NO...Am I missing the sabre-grind line? If not, all you need to do now is strip it and satin it.:D

hehehe..... no comment ;)

The SFNO in Lunde's pic is definately a Saber Grind. The coating just makes it hard to see. I wouldn't be surprised if your SFNO was once coated just like the one in the pic.

Yeh, I figured. Kinda like that green/green linen SFNO Trevor snatched up from Lefty. Too bad I hadn't been able to see that damned grind line. Oh well...no regrets, right? ;)

I wouldn't be surprised if your baby was once coated just like the one the pic.

When next it makes an appearance, it will be a different monster, no? Maybe I should have a coming-out party or something, like my people and their quinceaneras. :D

Btw...I have a feeling mine started out double cut. Just a feeling, though. I hope there hasn't been too much thickness taken off.

Have to say I prefer the look of the sabre grind. Although I would take either just to get my hands on a SFNO

If you strip the SFNO it would most likely be a double cut like beadblast finish.

A full flat grind from the same stock should be a little lighter, and the angle should be a little more acute. These are qualities that I particularly appreciate in a blade. I think that the added strength of the sabre grind is unnecessary in a knife of this length, thickness, and material.
